Remember that time Britney Spears was married for five minutes? Okay it was more like 55 hours. On the spur of the moment in Las Vegas, the "Slave For You" singer asked early life pal Jason Alexander to marry her. The pair, who grew up together in Kentwood, Louisiana, had been each 22 at the time.
However, the wedding used to be annulled simply Fifty five hours later.
"She just came out and asked me," Alexander mentioned of the suddenly resolution. "She was like, 'Well, let's get married.' And I was like, 'Sure. You know, let's do this.'''
Alexander told ABC News in 2012 that when word got back to her mother Lynn and her managers "everyone went crazy." The pair had married and had no prenup. Britney's team were terrified about her estimated 60 million dollar fortune.
The annulment stated that the pop star "lacked figuring out of her movements, to the extent that she was once incapable of agreeing to the wedding."
Now 16 years later, Jason Alexander has shown up outside a downtown Los Angeles court. It was where a hearing was taking place in a bid to have Britney's father Jamie replaced as her conservator.
#FreeBritney campaigners instantly recognized the ex husband of their Queen and enthusiastically thanked him for backing the campaign.
Alexander later spoke to UsWeekly, and revealed that he is still in touch - via text - with his former childhood friend/husband.
"I've were given love for her, indisputably,'' he advised the magazine. "I'd love to be back in her life some way or another, but this conservatorship is holding that back from happening."
The Louisiana native even went as far as announcing he would still like to pursue a dating together with her.
"We never were given a shot the first time around. If there's feeling still there, maybe we see where they go but that's not — you know that's on her."
A couple of months after Britney's annulment, she got engaged to backup dancer Kevin Federline. The two got married in October 2004.
They had two sons together - Sean Preston, 14, and Jayden James, 13.
Britney filed for divorce in November 2006, two months after the beginning of their youngest child.
For the past two years, Britney has been in a relationship with fitness trainer Sam Asghari.
The 38-year-old lives together with her 26-year-old beau at her mansion in Thousand Oaks, north of Los Angeles.
In her prison struggle, Britney is asking a pass judgement on to allow her brief care manager Jodi Montgomery to take care of her affairs. Montgomery took over final 12 months when her dad was in poor health, to proceed permanently in that function.
