The third season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City used to be filled with closure. Well, except for possibly one housewife. On what was intended to be a amusing lady’s commute to San Diego, one forged member aroused from sleep with an alarming black eye and mysterious scratches throughout her palms. To the worries of castmates and viewers, housewife Heather Gay claims she has no recollection of the way she gained her injuries, despite the fact that, at one point, she has suggested that anyone in the solid may well be concerned.
In one teaser, it shows a grainy evening cam the place a number of cast contributors celebration past Four AM, then cuts to the morning, where Gay takes to the air her shades to expose her bruised eye. At the reunion, the housewife turns out to have changed her track and many times contests she has no reminiscence of the evening. Fans, however, have come up with a couple of theories of their very own to help clear up the mystery.
It used to be an evening of fighting, making up, and combing issues beneath the rug, followed by one too many beverages. After the housewives came house from dinner and a pit stop at a club, Jen Shah, Meredith Marks, Angie K., and Gay kept the night going.
Shah and Gay let loose taking their tops off and canoodling drunkenly in bed. There used to be an general blissful raucousness, nothing indicative of what the morning would appear to be for Gay.
The last photos of that evening used to be filmed around Four AM when Shah, Marks, and Angie Ok. accumulated in Gay’s room and then left after some time. Everyone still gave the look to be in excellent spirits.
The morning of the divulge, Gay calls over Shah first, whose reaction, fans point out, was underwhelming. Gay then enlists Shah to lend a hand her get a hold of a cover story.
When requested on the reunion why Gay had known as Shah first, she replied that she trusted her the most.
But for fans, who seemed deeper into their on-screen conversation, they have been suspicious about the way in which Gay had asked Shah for assist.
“I don’t wish to get anyone in bother, Jen, but that’s why I need you to, like, assist me work out if someone desires to speak about what truly happened closing night time,” Gay stated.
She persevered, “We want a quilt tale, is what I’m saying right now. We desire a just right quilt story for this eye, ‘cause I don’t want any of the women to get in any trouble.”
Fans have pointed out that if Shah were innocent, she would have been extra helpful to find out what had came about as a substitute of jumping in to create a canopy tale.
Shah quickly answered, “Okay, what’s our cover tale? …You don’t know what came about, mainly. You don’t know.”
When Gay unearths her black eye to the group, the cast is shocked. The scenario turns into extra confusing when Gay insinuates that the crowd will have to know what took place to her.
“I think we all know what took place, I simply suppose we don’t want to talk about it,” Gay stated. When the gang begins to ask concerned questions, Gay then makes light of the situation.
“I don’t think it’s that noticeable,” she deflected.
Fans have noted how Gay has flip-flopped from side to side about what she has mentioned and recollects about that evening.
“You look like anyone, like, clocked you,” housewife Lisa Barlow pointed out, involved.
“Well, maybe someone did. But they don’t wanna talk about it,” responded Gay. When cast member Whitney Rose at once asks if any individual hit her, Gay shuts the dialog down.
“I don’t wanna communicate about it! I don’t wanna make the go back and forth about my black eye, in truth," responded Gay.
“What’s the one way I like to deal with things? By not talking about it. Sweep it under the rug, let’s deflect today with some booze, some humor, and we’ll do it the Heather Gay way."
No topic how much Gay had sought after to comb her black eye underneath the rug, the topic was going to return up on the reunion.
And some of the burning questions was whether or not Gay had ever suspected Shah because the culprit in the back of the bruising.
In the recent seat, when probed additional, Gay reveals the two had joked about it and that if it were Shah, she would have been a loyal friend and admitted she would have coated it up.
“If I knew Jen did that, I'd duvet it up, however that was now not my aim,” replied Gay. "I was blacked out. Anything could've happened. I still don't know how it happened."
Fans have supported this theory that it used to be Shah who gave Gay the black eye and that Gay helps cover it up.
In a confessional, castmate Whitney Rose has hypothesized the same. If it have been Shah, Gay would have stored quiet in order that Shah's upcoming trial wouldn't be affected.
Prior to the reunion, in a post-season interview, Gay gave some perception relating to her black eye and her reaction on the display.
“I awoke with a black eye, and I couldn’t give an explanation for it, however I used to be told there was once pictures that would, so I performed coy because I didn’t know what used to be going to be offered to me,” Gay mentioned.
She endured, “I didn’t want to condemn someone or say they’re blameless if there was once photos to contradict that. I do know the viewers will see thru the entirety, so I just performed coy as a result of I hoped that it could resolve itself. And optimistically, it will."
While previously, Gay had gone back and forth between saying the night was a blur to pointing fingers at castmates, at the reunion, she finally took a hard stance.
Gay shares she has no recollection of that night. She had blacked out but was too embarrassed to admit it, and that was why she went back and forth in her responses.
Andy Cohen, who produces and hosts the franchise, shared Bravo had launched an internal investigation, but “there was no additional footage” from that evening.
Without additional footage, who knows what really went down? The night and culprit in question remain a mystery. Only theories exist for now.
As for Gay, she tearfully shared her feelings about the shame and guilt of not remembering that night.
"It was once humiliating," Gay said. "I do not want to get drunk and blackout and have no memory of it. It used to be terrifying and it was once humiliating. For me, I have a lot of Mormon shame about ingesting."
